In preparation for the Civil Service Examination scheduled on 7 August 2022, review sessions were conducted for UPOU employees. Topics on Vocabulary, Numerical Reasoning, general information and recent events were discussed by different volunteer resource speakers tapped by the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód UPOU. Pahinungód UPOU Launches Bata, Basa Reading Program

In continuing the commitment of the office to developing reading intervention programs, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód UPOU launched the Bata, Basa Reading Program (BBRP). Bridge Program Offering in Region X In line with the commitment of the office to reaching underserved communities nationwide, the office in partnership with DepEd Region X, offered the online bridge program to Luyungan IP High School and Talakag National High School located in Malaybalay and Bukidnon, respectively. 80 - 100% of the students in both schools belong to indigenous peoples groups in the region. Online Resources on Teaching Elementary Reading In celebration of National Teachers' Month, the office has conducted a webinar focusing on online resources relevant to teaching elementary reading and mathematics on 15 September 2021, 9 AM via Zoom. With the aim of training the parents on the application of the dialogic reading method as a technique in teaching reading to children, this project is conducted for four weeks, from 16 July - 13 August 2021. Selected parents of Grades 2 and 3 pupils of San Antonio Elementary School, one of the partner schools of Ugnayan ng Pahinungód UPOU, were tapped to be the beneficiaries. Pahinungód UPOU Conducts UPCAT Simulation for Schools of Region X

In line with the upcoming UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) 2024 scheduled on 3 and 4 June 2023, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód UPOU, in coordination with DepEd Region X office, conducted UPCAT Simulation Exam administration activities to the UPCAT applicants from the region.  This initiative was held on 8-9 May 2023, and aims to familiarize the students with the procedures, guidelines, and protocols observed in taking the UPCAT and orient them in filling-out the examination materials. To further promote mental health wellness and provide stress reduction techniques accessible to the general public, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód University of the Philippines Open University conducted an online workshop on crocheting titled “Stitch Away Your Stress” on 28 February 2023 via Zoom. The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Mary Meghan P. Perido, an entrepreneur, crochet maker, and an alumna from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Pahinungod UPOU Holds a Workshop on Therapeutic Communication for OSA Proctors

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) collaborated with the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód University of the Philippines Open University in conducting a workshop on Therapeutic Communication on 27 February 2023. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format.
