Online Bridge Program

This program aims to equip the students with the basic knowledge needed to pursue higher education courses. Currently, Bridge English, Mathematics, and Physics courses are offered for free to the general public. The duration of the course offering ranges from 4 – 8 weeks. These courses are hosted in the UPOU Massive Open Distance eLearning (MODeL), the official platform for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) of UPOU. Synchronous sessions via Zoom were also conducted to enrich the discussion of module topics.

Target Participants: Grades 11-12 students

  • Participants: College freshmen, Senior High School students, anyone interested

  • Date of offering: 7 April – 4 June 2021 for Bridge Mathematics and 3 May – 12 June 2021 for Bridge English
  • Participants: Grades 10-12 students

  • Date of offering: 4 June – 28 June 2022
  • Participants: Grades 11-12 students of Luyungan IP High School and Talakag National High School in Region X.
  • Courses offered: Bridge English, Bridge Mathematics

  • Date of offering: 20 July – 31 August 2022
  • Participants: Grades 11-12 students
  • Courses offered: Bridge English, Bridge Mathematics, Bridge Physics

  • Date of offering: 27 March – 29 May 2023
  • Participants: Grades 11-12 students from Region X schools
  • Courses offered: Bridge English, Bridge Mathematics, Bridge Physics

  • Date of offering:  21 August – 29 September 2023 for Bridge Mathematics and Physics; 4 – 29 September 2023 for Bridge English
  • Participants: Grades 11-12 students

  • Date of offering: 25 March – 20 April 2024 for Bridge English; 25 March – 18 May for Bridge Mathematics and Physics
  • Participants: Grade 11 students from Region X schools
